Although curious, I hadn't tried any cockrings till semi recently as I always thought they were more just for erectile dysfunction. Finally getting around to trying some out I learned I had been missing out!

With feeling like I had no reason for them, I didn't get around to trying any till I got the idea they might help out with condom retention. The idea being it can be no fun to keep track of a condom trying to slip off during rowdy sex and a cockring would help add a little more retention at the cock base. The smaller cockrings actually did help with this, however I also learned typically a cockring is worn at the base and behind the balls. Wearing both a ring in the classic position and another ring just at the base (but in front of the testicles) gave noticeable results to make my cock harder and for longer. I didn't have a problem with either, but certainly thought the upgrade option was nice. I suppose before I was thinking a cockring was just to make you normal if having problems and not a full on enhancer for anyone.

So after trying some basic metal and silicone cockrings I came across cock-slings and was very interested to try, yet there were so many different types to choose from. I liked the idea they could give cockring like effects, but also change the visual presentation a lot too. After some browsing around, I went pretty full on with the idea and got these cockslings:

  • Perfect Fit Armour Up - I liked the idea of how it pushed everything forward
  • Perfect Fit Armour Tug - Similar to Up version, but with additional strap for the balls for a little different look and feel
  • Atomic Jock Unit X - I thought appeared one of the most minimal designs visually, in general I wasn't sure how ladies would like the look of any of these
  • OXBalls CockSling2 - Appeared to be a more intense version of the Unit X

For some additional notes, I chose the Armour Up instead of the Cock Armour Standard since The Up version was available in the Sport size (the smallest) and I wanted things nice and snug. It was a visual sacrifice since I like the more simple look of the Cock Armour version. The material is plenty flexible, so one doesn't have to worry so much about size like one does with metal. The Tug version also was not available in Sport size for a while and appears I lucked out getting one in that size as they don't sell it anymore. Maybe the ladies are lyn' to me, but to the best of my knowledge I have a pretty standard sized cock so I worry standard size actually will feel pretty minimal on the tension for most due to all the material stretch. For those who truly have big ass balls and cocks they do make a large size. The Unit X and Cocksling2 however only come in one size and feel pretty darn snug to me.

After using all of them, I'm fond of how easy the Armour Up is to put on. It is more subtle so also works well for prolonged usage. The Armour Tug takes a smidge more effort to put on, but not too bad and the extra tension on the balls is nice when "more" is wanted. Although the Unit X looks innocent enough, it can be a bit tricky to put on. For it and the Cocksling2 it can be confusing which way to even put it on. After product site research it appears the best hints are having the angled opening go towards your body which makes the main logo visible from above and thus straight openings for the cock in the front and balls down. The Cocksling2 has an additional hint of having a channel notch on the under side of the cock for cum flow. Once on, the Unit X feels overall nice giving even tension to the right areas. When it comes to difficulty putting on, the Cocksling2 is definitely the winner. As you can see from the look, it is like trying to put on 3 cockrings at once and I've had my testicles go in all kinds of crazy places trying to put it on. Practice and lube certainly help, but the comparison to the others is worth noting. As expected the Cocksling2 is the most snug and gives the most intensity out of the bunch.

Since I thought "why not?" I even tried some combos showing the Armour Up behind the Cocksling2 with a simple cockring added to the front for good measure.  It definitely gets hardness and forward projection results, but not something you want to have on too long. While masturbating with cockrings too long once I found out the penis skin can get into a pretty weird swollen state. I totally freaked out for a bit thinking I broke my cock, yet lucked out it settled back down after a couple hours. Back to pluses, Kate says she can totally notice when I have a cocksling on, adding more hardness and I enjoy them adding more sensitivity; it seems they present more cock to be pleased, but perhaps the extra hardness just makes things more sensitive in general. Since I'm not a super exhibitionist cockslings certainly come in handy for me with public play as I have a more difficult time staying hard with all the distractions. They also work great for added lasting power such as if there is still some fucking to be done even after I've cum.

For technical details, like most rubbery toys these all can collect dust like magnets thus need to be stored appropriately so they don't look awful come time to use. Fortunately cleaning is easy using simple soap and water will knock everything right off. The Armor series comes pretty shiny, but mattes out a bit with the friction of use. Fortunately I like this more since it then comes closer to a leather shine as opposed to a latex shine.

Hopefully all the details on this batch I got help guide you in on what may work best for you. I definitely suggest giving a cocksling a try; As long as your partner doesn't hate the look, they offer some great positive effects.
